At Rguru (operated by Aadhavan Tech, hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our"), we value your trust and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and safeguard your information when you use the Rguru mobile application ("App").

This policy is structured to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 (India) and Google Play Developer Program Policies regarding data transparency and user control.

For the purpose of the DPDP Act, Aadhavan Tech acts as the Data Fiduciary, and you, the user, act as the Data Principal.

1. Notice and Consent (Under DPDP Act)

By creating an account on Rguru, you provide your explicit, unambiguous, and revocable consent to the collection and processing of your personal data strictly for specified legal and educational purposes as outlined below.

2. Information We Collect and Specific Purpose of Processing

We collect only the minimum necessary data required to provide a secure and functional AI-powered learning environment:

Account Credentials (Personal Data): Full Name, Mobile number and email address provided during registration.

Purpose: To create, authenticate, and manage your unique user account.

Audio and Voice Call Streams: Real-time audio data processed exclusively when you trigger an AI voice lesson or a person-to-person call.

Purpose: To facilitate voice-based English learning and peer connections. Audio streams are encrypted on the fly and are not stored permanently on our servers.

AI Text Inputs: Text prompts submitted for grammar and conversational analysis.

Purpose: To process inputs via our educational AI feature and return personalized feedback.

Device Identifiers: IP addresses, operating system versions, and unique hardware tokens.

Purpose: To maintain secure server connections, optimize app performance, and enforce security measures (such as preventing banned abusers from re-registering).

3. App Permissions Disclosures (Google Play Compliance)

To function seamlessly, Rguru requests explicit access to the following device capabilities, which you can grant or deny via system settings:

a. Microphone Access (RECORD_AUDIO):* Required exclusively to enable real-time voice interaction

with the AI tutor and peer-to-peer voice calls.

b. Network/Internet Access (INTERNET): Required to connect with our backend infrastructure,

process AI responses, fetch dictionary data, and manage secure connection tokens.

4. Data Protection, Sharing, and Peer Anonymity

Peer Anonymity: During random peer-to-peer learning connections, your private credentials (email, full location, etc.) are NEVER shared with other users. Only your custom Display Name is visible.

Strict No-Sale Policy: We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal details, text inputs, or voice data to third-party advertising brokers.

Security Measures: All data moving between the App and our backend servers is protected using industry-standard SSL/TLS encryption. We store data on secure production servers with restricted access controls.

5. Your Legal Rights as a Data Principal (User Rights)

Under Section 6 and Section 12 of the DPDP Act, 2023, and Google Play Policies, you have the following absolute rights regarding your data:

a. Right to Access and Summary: You can request a summary of your personal data being processed by us.

b. Right to Correction and Erasure: You have the right to correct inaccurate data or request the permanent deletion of your data.

c. Right to Withdraw Consent: You can withdraw your consent for data processing at any time through your device or account settings.

6. Strict Data Deletion and Account Deletion Policy

In strict compliance with Google Play Deletion requirements and the DPDP Act:

Consequence : Upon account deletion, all registration logs, profile data, and usage history associated with your identity will be

permanently wiped and purged from our active production databases within the legally stipulated timeframe.
